Bietschhorn Trail
Bild: Tourist Information Lötschental,Bietschhorn Trail
Mountainbiking: Wiler aerial cableway
The varied tour takes you from Lauchernalp üover magical Lötschentaler Alpen to Ferden.
The Lötschental is truly a magical valley, rich in exciting legends, unusual traditions and customs and a unique mountain-valley panorama. The Alpine Tour combines all these components.
The 550 metres or so of ascent from Wiler to Lauchernalp can be easily managed by cable car. Afterwards, the trail leads in a steady easy up and down üover the homely Alps.
After the start on Lauchernalp, you pass Hockenalp with a wooden chapel. Continue on to Kummenalp and Restialp, where inns invite you to linger. Even from a distance you can see the beautiful wooden chapel on the Faldumalp, which towers proudly in front of the Bietschhorn and above the Lönschental. Here you have a view of the entire Lötschental from the reservoir to the Lötschenl;cke: a photo break is particularly recommended here! The trail then descends into the valley to Ferden.
From Faldumalp, the tour can be extended via Jeizinen to Leukerbad.
