Faxenhaus

In the middle of the mountain village Blatten in the Lötschental you experience the mountain world directly in front of your doorstep.The Faxenhaus is a small, detached chalet built on a rock in the old village centre of Blatten. On the hiking network and 5 minutes from the "Dorf" post bus station, just a few steps from the village shop and parking spaces for unloading. The chalet is ideal for a family or for couples. The living room in original small size, built in 1545, with wood stove. There is also a well-equipped kitchen and a sunny balcony with a table. One bedroom is on the ground floor in the former goat shed with 2 single beds. Another bedroom is above the living room with a spiral staircase directly under the roof (double bed). And connected with a small sliding door, a bedroom for children up to 10 years (double bed and very low room height, directly under the roof window)

Infos for arrival (Check-In)

By car: FROM THE NORTH - Take the motorway from Bern to Spiez. Here the cantonal road branches off in the direction of Kandersteg. By simply and quickly loading your car onto the railway (car transport) in Kandersteg, you can cross the Lötschberg in just 15 minutes and reach Goppenstein, the southern station of the Lötschberg tunnel. From here you can reach Blatten in 10 minutes. FROM THE SOUTH - Take the motorway from Lausanne or the cantonal road from Brig/Simplon to Gampel/Steg. Here the Lötschental branches off to the north. By public transport: The north-south axis of the Bern-Lötschberg-Simplon line takes you safely and comfortably from the north of Bern and from Brig/Simplon to Goppenstein railway station, where trains stop every hour. From there, Postbus Lötschental takes you from Goppenstein station to Blatten every hour. The journey time from Goppenstein to Blatten is approx. 25 minutes. Check-in: from 14.00 hrs Check-out: at 10.00 a.m.
