Hiking: Goppenstein, station
The cultural route in the Lötschental takes you through one of the most beautiful mountain valleys of the Swiss Alps and offers a good alternative to the heavily frequented high route.
The cultural route follows the course of the Lonza; a detour to the villages on the north side of the Lonza is worthwhile.
There is plenty to discover there: Ferden, the first village of the Lötschental, entices with its old village center, whose buildings date back to the 14th and 15th centuries. Kippel, the unofficial cultural capital of the valley, which houses the Lötschental Museum. The mountain village Wiler, located at 1419 m above sea level in the heart of the Lötschental.
