Hiking: Kippel
From the Lauchernalp mountain station, hike below the panorama restaurant heading towards Hockenstrasse. Through numerous shortcuts, you quickly lose elevation. Above Kippel, you then pass the Riedhaltä bird sanctuary. In spring, native bird species can be observed especially well here. Soon after, you reach the first houses of the Lötschental cultural capital, Kippel. A walk through the old village and a visit to the Lötschental Museum are worthwhile here.
