Hiking: Chrindellicka
Enjoy the short hike to the power place "Chrindellicka".
Chrindellicka is one of Switzerland’s power places. From Fafleralp, the magnificent viewpoint is easily accessible via a path lined with evergreen bearberries and larches. From the Fafleralp parking lot, follow the hiking trail to the Faflersee. Behind Faflersee, take the right fork (Inners Faflertal / Chrindellicka). A mostly shaded forest trail steadily ascends to the junction Inners Faflertal / Chrindellicka. At the junction, take the serpentine path to the left. On the way up, hikers are repeatedly rewarded with unique views of the Lötschental and the mountains opposite. Higher up, gnarled Swiss stone pines and a weathered cross at the end of the hike withstand the forces of nature. The view wanders over the snow-white Petersgrat to the Rothörner in the west and further on to the Bietschhorn. The Lötschenlücke in the east is considered the most beautiful valley end in the Alps. Avalanches and eternal snow feed the longest glacier of the Lötschental, the Langgletscher. Its ever-growing glacier forefield in the valley floor testifies to the climate changes in the Alps. The descent leads back on the same path to Fafleralp.
