The TragBar project is an initiative of the Academic Alpine Club of Bern (AACB) to make the supply of mountain huts more sustainable. Visitors to the Bietschhorn hut can also help to carry materials such as wood or other items from a depot in the valley up to the hut.
In this way, part of the hut's supplies are organized in an environmentally friendly way and the number of helicopter flights is reduced. In addition, there are occasional carry days where volunteers bring materials to the hut together and thus actively contribute to more sustainable hut management.
Registration must be made by Sunday, June 24, 2026 at the latest and is binding.
