The Singkreis Bäretswil-Bauma under the direction of Markus Stucki invites you to a special musical event. On Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 5 pm, the choir will be singing in the church of St. Martin in Kippel.

The performance will take place as part of the Holy Mass with Fr. Thomas Pfammatter and combines solemn church music with an atmospheric setting in the historic mountain church.

The Toggenburg mass "Juchzed und Singed" is a well-known composition by the Toggenburg musician Peter Roth. It is a popular mass that combines church music with traditional Swiss folk music. The use of dialect texts and instruments such as dulcimer, clarinets and double bass is particularly characteristic.

Musicians
Violin 1 Susanna Oppliger
Violin 2 Ursula Brunner
Clarinet 1 Daniela Steinmann
Clarinet 2 Erich Hintermann
Cello Pius Brunner
Double bass Erich Schläpfer
Dulcimer Susi Pfister

The Singkreis Bäretswil-Bauma has been in existence since 1890 and currently has around 70 active members. The choir is based in the two reformed parishes of Bäretswil and Bauma in the Zurich Oberland. In response to the landslide in Blatten, the Bäretswil-Bauma choir spontaneously organized a benefit concert for Blatten on 29 June 2025 in Bäretswil, which was met with great sympathy.

We look forward to welcoming you to the concert.
