Night of the Museums - Reading with Rolf Hermann at the Lötschental Museum in Kippel. As part of the Valais Museum Night, the writer Rolf Hermann reads funny texts and freely told stories on the theme of "Life is a steep slope".

The Valais "mountain poet" addresses everyday madness with mischievous humor. He tells of the love frenzy of a TV-addicted hobby sheep farmer couple or describes with a wink the insight that an American student comes to in his dissertation on the evolution of the Lötschental dialect. The ludicrous stories are accompanied by an absurd overhead projector lecture on the connection between the name of a Valais fighting cow and its will to win - in High and Valais German.

Afterwards, there will be warm wine and Chiächlini as well as the opportunity to visit the current exhibitions.

Museum open from 17:00
Program starts at 19:00
Free admission

On the trail of the Tschäggättä
The remoteness of the Lötschental has been the source of a multitude of stories, legends and myths. Wild creatures hunted through the history of the Lötschental and left their traces behind. They are regarded as the origin of the Tschäggättä tradition, which is still celebrated today with great attention to detail.
