Short, pleasant hike to the wintery hamlet of Eisten.
Start in Blatten at the old post office and head across the bridge up to Blatten parish church. Then follow the road to the right towards the Hotel Edelweiss. After some time you will come to a fork in the road where you take the steeper path to the right towards Eisten. After a short walk you will reach the wintery hamlet of Eisten. Eisten Chapel, which dedicated to Saint Wendelin, is worth a visit. Return to Blatten along the same route.

Journey

Drive into the Lötschental from Goppenstein, past the villages of Ferden, Kippel and Wiler to Blatten as far as the old post office.

You can park your car in the car park next to the old post office in Blatten (not free).
