Short, leisurely hike to the wintery hamlet of Eisten.

You start in Blatten at the old post office and first walk over the bridge up to the parish church of Blatten. Then follow the road to the right towards Hotel Edelweiss. After some time you reach a fork in the road. Follow the path to the right towards Eisten. After a short time, you have reached the wintery hamlet of Eisten. A visit to the chapel of Eisten, which is dedicated to St. Wendelin, is worthwhile. Hike back to Blatten on the same route.

From Gampel/Steg or Goppenstein, the PostAuto takes you to Blatten. PostAuto stop "Blatten, Dorf".

Journey

From Goppenstein, drive into the Lötschental valley, past the villages of Ferden, Kippel, Wiler to Blatten, by the old post office.

Parking

You can park your car at the parking lot by the old post office in Blatten (paid parking).
