Unique high alpine snowshoe route to the Lötschenpass hut

This high alpine, impressive and beautiful snowshoe route leads from the mountain station on the Hockenhorngrat past the Hockenhorn down to the Lötschenpass at just under 2700 meters elevation. After a refreshment in the cozy Lötschenpass hut, the ascent back up to the Hockenhorngrat at 3100 meters awaits.

Please note the following important information for an unforgettable experience: This route is in high alpine terrain and only open in good weather conditions. We recommend starting on the Hockenhorngrat no later than 10:30 am (10:00 am from Wiler). We strongly recommend making your way back from the Lötschenpass hut to the Hockenhorngrat no later than 1:30 pm. The last descent from the Hockenhorngrat to Wiler is at 3:50 pm. Alternatively, an overnight stay at the Lötschenpass hut is recommended.
