Ski tours and splitboard Lötschental

Experience the freedom of ski touring.

Step by step on touring skis or a splitboard towards the summit, surrounded by breathtaking nature - ski touring is a very special experience.

With its mountains, the Lötschental is an ideal place to climb the peaks on touring skis or a splitboard and discover untouched nature in the snow. We have put together some suggestions for you, which you can discover together with a mountain guide or, if you are experienced, in a group.

Would you like a shorter ski tour? The mountain railroads will transport you to the Lauchernalp ski area. From there you can undertake shorter tours with great descents, for example the Elwertätsch (3207 m above sea level) with a subsequent descent to Blatten, the Petersgrat (3195 m above sea level) with a subsequent descent to Fafleralp or the Gitzifurggu (2911 m above sea level) with a subsequent descent to Leukerbad.

To the west of the Lötschental in the direction of Leukerbad, a mountain range with various peaks marks the end of the Lötschental. Here you will find somewhat longer ski tours in attractive terrain, for example the Mauerhorn (2934 m above sea level), or the Niwen (2796 m above sea level), which you can also reach from the Jeizinen ski area.

The Lötschenlücke is located at the back of the Lötschental valley and can be reached from Blatten or the Jungfraujoch. In this high alpine region there are many opportunities to climb and marvel at the fascinating glacier world and peaks of the Aletsch Glacier.
