"Steep but Beautiful"
A challenging but beautiful ascent to the Bietschhorn Hut awaits you. The trail crosses the Lonza River and heads slightly uphill into the valley. Through the Obre Forest, the trail climbs steadily and steeply. Through the rugged landscape of the Arbschluichen, you’ll reach the Howitzen lookout point. Now there are only a few meters of elevation left to the Bietschhorn Hut. The climb is rewarded with a warm welcome at the Bietschhorn Hut. The cake buffet is exceptional, and the food is delicious. The descent follows the same route.
Enjoy the fresh mountain air and a delicious meal at the Bietschhorn Hut after a steep and challenging ascent with exposed sections. The varied route offers a wonderful experience. Sure-footedness is required.
