The popular Lötschentaler legend route with a quiz for children is especially suitable for families.

The Lötschentaler legend route, which leads without major elevation differences from the Lauchernalp mountain station to the Fafleralp, takes the whole family into the world of myths and fairy tales. From now on, you will also find so-called QR codes on the tree trunks. Scan this code with your smartphone and you can comfortably read the legends on your own mobile phone.

Become the legend king/queen!

The legend quiz along the legend route makes the hike an experience for young and old. Walk along our legend route and answer the tricky questions on the legend quiz. If you answer all questions correctly, you will be rewarded with a small gift! You can get the legend quiz and the gift at the Lötschental information office, the Lauchernalp mountain railways AG or at the snack kiosk on the Fafleralp.

Directions

Ten different Lötschentaler legends invite the interested hiker into the world of myths and fairy tales. Thus, every distinctive stone, idyllic lake, or seasonal mountain pasture claims its own legend. Surrounded by an impressive panorama, the hiker can immerse in these legends. By scanning QR codes along the way, you can conveniently read the legends in German, French, and English on your own mobile phone. Those who solve the tricky legend quiz will be rewarded with a small gift at the end. From the Lauchernalp mountain station, the high route first leads to Weritzalp with its simple wooden chapel. Passing the Tellialp, which invites you to enjoy Valais specialties, the legend route leads to the idyllic Schwarzsee. The route then continues comfortably to the Fafleralp, which offers a good spot to stay. From the Fafleralp parking lot, you return by car or post bus. The hike is also recommended in the opposite direction.
