WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT WHILE HOLIDAYING AT CHALET WACHSMUTH: The chalet is built in typical wood construction style of the Valais valley, lovely furnished and guarantees perfect days in a cosy and comfortable atmosphere in Central Alps of Switzerland. On the upper floor you find the living area with kitchen.The dining area offers a panoramic view of the valley. During cold evenings and winter days the wood burner in the living room provides homely warmth. The ground floor has 4 bedrooms; from one of the bedrooms you can directly access the terrace, and two bathrooms. All rooms have own electrical heating. You can use the W-LAN and internet free of charge, as well as TV and telephone, washing machine and the laundry dryer.

HOW TO GET TO THE CHALET WACHSMUTH: The Lötschental can be reached either by car or train and bus (Bern-Lötschberg-Simplon) via Goppenstein. The car transport Lötschberg operates every 30 minutes and more often in peak season between Kandersteg and Goppenstein. By car in summer time You can drive up the small street to the Lauchernalp - please buy a permission for CHF 30 per week on the valley station of cable-car in Wiler BEFORE you drive up. Take the small road left at the end of the town of Wiler and drive up following the sign "Hotel Wildi" up to the Lauchernalp. You find the chalet above the mountain cable-car station on the right side after the first left turn. A private parking place is reserved for you in front of the house. By car in winter time In wintertime the Lauchernalp is car free zone and you can reach the chalet only by cable-car from Wiler. Park your car on the covered parking spaces and uncovered public car parks. The luggage will be transported from the mountain cable-car station by snow-bully (cost around CHF 30). You can walk up to the Chalet in 5 minutes.
In summer time a private parking place is reserved for you in front of the house. Please buy a permission to drive up to the Lauchernalp. In wintertime you can reach the chalet by cable car only from Wiler. Park your car on the covered parking spaces or uncovered public car parks down in the village.
Conditions/Extras
Additional costs not included in the total price: - Electricity and firewood flat rate between CHF 70.00 and CHF 175.00 depending on the season - Dog (on request): CHF 10.00 per day - In summer, driving permit to Lauchernalp (CHF 35.00 per week) - In winter, mountain railway and, if necessary, mountain taxi for luggage transport (approx. CHF 50.00)
