The treasures of the glacier forefield

Only in a few places in the Alps is a glacier forefield as easily accessible as it is in the Lötschental where the glacier forefield of the Langgletscher (Lang Glacier) has even been designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
A guided walk takes hikers through the wide range of vegetation levels of the glacier forefield from the Fafleralp up to the snout of the Langgletscher (Lang Glacier). The walk passes through young larch forests and over dwarf shrub moorland with Alpine roses, juniper and over pasture up to the surreal and fascinating moraine and rock landscape at the base of the longest glacier in the Lötschental.
