Carnival begins on February 03, 2025
The Tschäggättä chemd
The Tschäggättä parade through the villages of the Lötschental every evening (except Sundays) after work. If you would like to see the Tschäggättä, we recommend eating in one of the local restaurants. The Tschäggättä are sure to pass by at some point.
The Tschäggättu Loif
February 27, 2025 from 8:00 pm
If you would like to experience a whole crowd of Tschäggättä, you can do so at the Tschäggättu Loif or at the carnival parade in Wiler. Always on "feisten Frontag" (Fat Thursday), the Tschäggättä are rounded up in the parking lot in Blatten after dark. The Tschäggättä then set off with the shepherds and walk from Blatten to Ferden. The Tschäggättä walk past all the villages in the valley.
