Highlight for enjoyable snowshoe hikers
From Blatten follow the winter hiking trail to the first bridge. Then continue on the left side of the Lonza to Kühmatt, where you will return to the marked winter hiking trail. The path winds up in switchbacks and leads you to the Fafleralp parking lot. Passing the Glacieralp, keep left to the Guggialp. Enjoy a moment of silence here. Then go back down to Fafleralp, where you pass the hotel and through a small wood to return to the winter hiking trail. From Kühmatt, take the peaceful path to Eisten and then back to Blatten.

- Carry a map with you. Download the complete description of the hiking trail with a large-scale map by clicking "Print" at the top right of the page.
- Use only marked hiking trails and observe all signposts and instructions - for your own safety, to protect grazing animals and out of respect for wildlife.
- Be considerate of other trail users and the landscape. Take your waste and other people's waste with you.
- Carry additional sun protection. UV rays can be especially strong at high altitude, even in winter and in cloudy weather.
- Plan your hike carefully: take into account the required fitness level of all participants, weather forecasts and seasonal conditions.
- Weather conditions in the mountains can change very quickly and without warning. Appropriate clothing and sufficient provisions (food and drink) are very important. In unstable weather, it is better to turn back early.
- Do not go on glaciers without a mountain guide.
