A wildly romantic hike in the uppermost part of the Lötschental (can also be walked as a 2-day tour).

The first stage of this impressive hike leads first from the Fafleralp along the right-hand flank of the valley up to the Peter Tscherrig Anen Hut. The path is very technical in parts and the upper section of it in particular is also significantly steep. The Anusee Lake forms the turning point on the tour. You will soon be at the Peter Tscherrig Anen Hut where you can recharge your batteries for the descent towards the Fafleralp (an overnight stay in the Peter Tscherrig Anen Hut is also an option). The Peter Tscherrig Anen Hut lodge was rebuilt in 2008 and is situated amidst a magnificent high mountain landscape. The craggy ice masses of the glacier "Anungletscher" stack up in the background forming a bluish-white strip flowing down towards the glacier "Langgletscher". The glacier is around 100 metres lower than the lodge. Your gaze is drawn to the fissures and onwards up towards the Lötschenlücke. The view from the terrace of the Anen Hut across the entire Lötschental is awe-inspiringly beautiful.

In the second stage of this hike, the trail descends steeply down towards the River Lonza offering magnificent views over the Langgletscher. On the other side of the valley a path meanders back to the Fafleralp. This tour can also be walked in the opposite direction.
