Welcome to paradise! The Hotel Fafleralp has over 100 years of hotel tradition. Nestled in the sparse larch forest, you can enjoy the peace and quiet and the view of the Lötschental mountains and glaciers of the Jungfrau-Aletsch-Bietschhorn UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Langgletscher is our base camp for hiking groups, school classes, clubs or the employees of your company. In the simple stone building 150 metres from the main building, you will find simple but functionally furnished rooms. With a total of 21 rooms, we can accommodate groups of up to 46 people. The single, double and triple rooms as well as the sanitary facilities were renovated in 2023. The fully equipped washing facilities, showers and toilets are located on the floor. You won't find any heating here, which is why the Langgletscher is only open in summer.

Infos for arrival (Check-In)

You can easily reach the Hotel Fafleralp... ... by public transport Basel, Fribourg or Zurich via Bern, direction Brig with the Lötschberger over the mountain line to Goppenstein. Geneva and Lausanne via Sion or from Brig to Gampel. Here you change to the Postbus and reach the Fafleralp terminus in summer. From here it is about 10 minutes to the hotel. In winter, take the bus to Blatten (Lötschen) village. From the furthest village in the valley, you can reach the Hotel Fafleralp in a leisurely hour's walk on well-maintained winter hiking trails. In winter we take care of the luggage transport. ... by car Via the A1 Bern - Spiez motorway, exit in the direction of Kandersteg. Take the car transport from Kandersteg to Goppenstein through the Lötschberg tunnel and then a well-maintained road into the Lötschental. Take the Rhone Valley motorway A9 Lausanne - Sierre to Gampel/Steg on the cantonal road (E62) and then a well-maintained road into the Lötschental. Take the cantonal road (E62) from Goms via Brig, Visp to Gampel in the Lötschental. In summer, drive to the large Fafleralp car park, which is subject to a charge. From here it is about 10 minutes on foot. In winter, drive to the village of Blatten (Lötschen). Here you can park in the public car park for approx. CHF 7.00 / day. From the furthest village in the valley you can reach the Hotel Fafleralp in a leisurely hour's walk on well-maintained winter hiking trails. In winter we take care of your luggage transport.
